Overview:
eFlexes Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Process Engineer on behalf of a leading manufacturing client in Limerick. This is a permanent opportunity offering a competitive salary and benefits package.
The successful candidate will support new product introduction and drive continuous improvement across manufacturing processes. This role plays a key part in improving efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing overall production performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of new manufacturing processes and equipment
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma tools (e.g. SMED, OEE, 5S)
- Optimise equipment performance, improve yield, and reduce waste
- Support the introduction of new products into production, meeting efficiency and quality targets
- Provide technical support on process capability, equipment, and quality issues
- Lead problem-solving activities and implement effective solutions
- Conduct experiments, analyse data, and make recommendations based on findings
- Support validation activities for new and existing processes
- Coordinate technology transfer and support capacity expansion projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver key operational KPIs
Requirements:
- Degree (Level 8) in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment (medical device or cGMP experience an advantage)
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma methodologies
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and statistical tools (e.g. Minitab desirable)
- Familiarity with semi-automated production environments
- Experience with adhesives or coating processes is beneficial
- Proficient in MS Office and engineering software (e.g. SolidWorks/AutoCAD)
Additional Information:
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Flexibility to work different shifts if required
- Willingness to travel (up to 20%)
Working Environment:
- Role involves working in a manufacturing setting with exposure to machinery and chemicals
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) will be required
- Some physical activity may be involved, including standing, bending, and reaching
