Our Client, a leader in sustainable waste management both in Ireland and across the UK and Europe, have a position available for Quantity Surveyor at their location based in Co. Clare.
Purpose of the Role
The Quantity Surveyor will manage all aspects of quantity surveying for projects both pre- and post-contract across various sectors. The successful candidate must be equally adept at working independently or within a team and will report directly to the Commercial Manager. This role offers unique project experience in a structured environment with comprehensive training and support.
Key Responsibilities and Objectives
Construction Management:
• Inspect and validate daily site records for alignment with project plans.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with site staff.
Financial Management:
• Prepare and manage cost estimates, tendering, and monthly financial reports.
• Control expenses, assess subcontractor payments, and handle final accounts.
• Ensure SAP system accuracy and update cost-value reports.
Subcontractor Management:
• Oversee tendering, evaluate subcontractors, and monitor their performance.
• Collaborate on new subcontractor acceptance and manage compliance.
Context and Dimensions
• Multi-disciplinary projects with diverse teams and strict budgets.
• Project value: €200 million, duration: 3 years.
• Role includes managing significant contractors.
Candidate Profile
Education and Experience:
• Degree in Quantity Surveying; 5+ years in large-scale technical projects.
• Proficient in NEC contracts and CESMM.
Technical Knowledge:
• Expertise in civil/construction industry and contract management.
