Due to continued growth, our client based in Shannon has an exciting opportunity for a Store Assistant to join their team. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the candidate will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of the store. Responsibilities will include completing daily tasks to uphold exceptional standards of quality and efficiency. It is imperative that these duties are executed with absolute precision, maintaining a steadfast commitment to excellence.
Training will be provided and duties include:
- Checking deliveries and stock levels.
- Loading trucks/vans with goods to be delivered while adhering to H&S best practices.
- Keeping the yard tidy at all times, swept and free of obstacles and near misses.
- Delivering & collecting goods as and when required.
- Assisting colleagues in the loading and unloading of vehicles.
- On occasion, you will be required to assist drivers with deliveries and collections in company vehicles.
- Reporting for work in proper attire as stated in the HR manual.
- Ensuring that you clock your start time & finish time daily.
- Identifying low stocked products and reporting the same to front office staff to ensure requisition is completed for the same.
- Ensuring that stock is securely stored on shelving and that there are no near miss hazards.
- Ensuring you maintain a clean, tidy & safe work environment.
- Equipment will be provided to access stock such as a ladder.
- Ensuring that you update management on any issues that may arise.
- Ensuring a high quality of customer service is provided and maintained at all times.
- Ensure that at all times you adhere to all office policies.
- Safe operation of all equipment forklift, compactor, coiling machine, etc.
- Any other ad-hoc duties that may be required from time to time.
