<p><b>The Responsibilities</b></p>

	<li>Self-motivated and with limited direction and supervision, work to drawings, sketches, process sheets, verbal or written instructions, set-up and operate equipment to produce components from start operation through to completion which meets the customers requirements.</li>
	<li>Partake in machine programming including downloading, manual data input, debugging and editing.</li>
	<li>Plan and organize own work to facilitate mutli-machine manning including operating own machine(s) and monitoring additional machine(s) through breaks where industrial engineering deems this feasible.</li>
	<li>Perform ancillary tasks within the equipment cycle such as checking, measuring, setting gauges, counting, deburring, stamping, etching, polishing and pre-setting for the next jobs. Where it is not possible to perform these tasks within the machine cycle, perform them immediately following the machining of a component so as to reduce queue time. Will also perform these ancillary tasks from, or for other operators.</li>
	<li>&nbsp;Establish and report the correct quantity of pieces completed, identify quantity variances and move to next operation/facility within or occasionally outside the Dept.</li>
	<li>Operate any equipment within or external to the department as instructed by the lead men or supervision, in the manufacture of products as defined above.</li>
	<li>Help out in other departments or carry out work for other departments in situations such as fluctuations in workload, equipment breakdown, or manning shortages.</li>

<p>We are delighted to be recruiting an experienced <strong>Sea freight Co Ordinator</strong>&nbsp;on behalf of a well-established logistics client based in <strong>Shannon, Co. Clare</strong>.</p>

<h2>Job Purpose</h2>

<p>To provide a professional, efficient, and customer-focused sea freight operations service to both internal and external customers, ensuring shipments are managed effectively from booking through to final delivery and invoicing.</p>

<h2>Main Duties &amp; Responsibilities</h2>

<ul data-spread="false">
	<li>Process and manage sea freight shipment bookings for forwarding operations.</li>
	<li>Monitor shipments from initial customer booking through to final destination and payment.</li>
	<li>Provide a consistently high level of customer service to both internal and external customers.</li>
	<li>Liaise with local and international suppliers, vendors, shipping lines, and agents to secure competitive rates and efficient services.</li>
	<li>Coordinate with transport providers regarding collections and deliveries.</li>
	<li>Process sales and purchase invoices and resolve any customer or supplier invoice queries.</li>
	<li>Manage rate requests and prepare and issue customer quotations.</li>
	<li>Maintain a good working knowledge of customs clearance requirements, including SADs and related documentation.</li>
	<li>Support the ongoing development and growth of the company&#39;s sea freight services.</li>
	<li>Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, suppliers, agents, and internal teams.</li>
</ul>

<h2>Additional Duties</h2>

<ul data-spread="false">
	<li>Provide operational cover during periods of annual leave and staff absence.</li>
	<li>Assist other freight departments with administrative and operational requirements when necessary.</li>
	<li>Attend occasional customer meetings and visits.</li>
	<li>Participate in operational and business improvement projects.</li>
	<li>Carry out any other duties reasonably assigned by the Operations Manager.</li>
</ul>

<h2>Key Skills &amp; Experience</h2>

<ul data-spread="false">
	<li>Several years&#39; experience in a similar sea freight, freight forwarding, or logistics operations role.</li>
	<li>Strong knowledge of sea freight processes and international logistics.</li>
	<li>Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.</li>
	<li>Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.</li>
	<li>Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload effectively.</li>
	<li>Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.</li>
	<li>Flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to respond quickly to changing business priorities.</li>
	<li>Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.</li>
	<li>Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.</li>
